Suzuki started in the textile industry in the early 1900’s and began producing engines for bicycles after World War II. The company has evolved to become one of the world’s leading motorcycle manufacturers.
Suzuki produces models for nearly all types of riding but it perhaps best known for their GSX-R Sport Bikes and RMZ motocross bikes. But the make a full range of street bikes, Cruisers and scooters.
In the Sport Bike category, the Suzuki Hayabusa is known as one of the fastest motorcycles available and provides amazing performance mixed with comfort. The GSX-R1000, GSX-R750 and GSX-R600 models are high performance Sport Bikes that are great on the track or carving canyons. And the GSX-S1000 and GSX250R are a little more docile but still provide performance.
The Suzuki Boulevard line includes several models including the M109R, M90, M50, C90, C50 and C90T models. And the Boulevard C90T and C50T models are cruisers aimed at Touring.
The Suzuki line of Standard bikes is among the best available. The Bandit 1250 has been a popular model for years. The GSX-S1000 includes three models of “Naked Sport Bikes”. And the SV650 is also a very popular naked bike.
Suzuki’s V-Strom 1000 is an amazingly versatile Adventure bike and there is also a V-Strom 650 line that is very popular.
For Dual Sport, Suzuki offers the DR650S and DR-Z400 models that are popular choices. And the DR200S and VanVan 200 are great entry level Dual Sport models. The DR-Z400 SM is the Supermoto option.
Suzuki has won countless Motocross championships in recent years with the RM-Z450 headlining the line. The RM-Z250 is a very solid bike and the RM85 is the place that a lot of racers get started.
On the Off-Road side, the Suzuki RMX450Z was released for 2017 to provide a very sporty choice. It has extensive roots in the RMZ Motocross line. And the DR-Z125L and DR-Z70 are great entry level off-road bikes.
