(October 21, 2026) — Yamaha Motor Europe is pleased to announce that Jeremy Alcoba will join its FIM Supersport World Championship program for the 2027 season, racing with the AS bLU cRU Racing Team.
Alcoba arrives at Yamaha in exceptional form, having scored more points than any other rider across the final three rounds of the 2026 championship. The 24-year-old Spaniard finished on the podium in all six races during that run, claiming four impressive victories and climbing from sixth to third in the final standings.
A former JuniorGP Champion, Alcoba has also achieved podium finishes at Grand Prix level. He previously raced in Yamaha colors with the Yamaha VR46 Master Camp Team in the Moto2 World Championship.
Alcoba joins forces with the AS bLU cRU Racing Team at the peak of their WorldSSP history. The Swiss squad convincingly won the 2026 riders’ championship with Albert Arenas, secured the teams’ title and helped Yamaha claim a record 12th manufacturers’ crown.
Alcoba will get his first opportunity to ride the Yamaha R9 he will campaign in 2027 during the winter. The new season begins at Phillip Island, Australia, from February 19-21.
Yamaha Motor Europe will confirm the remainder of its 2027 WorldSSP lineup in due course.

Jeremy Alcoba: “I am very excited to join Yamaha for 2027 after what really has been two difficult seasons. I expected more joining WorldSSP and feel that only in the last few rounds have I been able to show what I am capable of! To get the chance to ride the bike that has won the championship for the last two seasons is a huge opportunity for me. If you want to fight for the title, you need the best team and the best bike and I believe that is what I am doing here, I believe in myself, I believe in this team and I believe in Yamaha so I am really happy about this opportunity. The team has just won the World Championship, so the goal is clear for 2027—to help them retain it!”
Niccolo Canepa, Yamaha Motor Europe, Road Racing Sporting Manager: “Jeremy’s performances over the final three rounds of the 2026 season were hugely impressive. He scored more points than any other rider between Cremona and Jerez, and with four victories from the final six races, he arrives in exceptional form. That made him an obvious choice for our WorldSSP program in 2027. The AS bLU cRU Racing Team did a fantastic job throughout the 2026 season, and adding a rider of Jeremy’s caliber will make the team even stronger as it looks ahead to 2027. We are excited to get started.”
