2018 Suzuki RM-Z450 Revealed

2018 Suzuki RM-Z450 Revealed: Without the production rule in the MXGPs, teams are free to get a jump-start on racing their newest machines well before they’re available to the public. Taking advantage of this has been commonplace over the last few decades, especially since the AMA instituted it’s “production rule” for frames, engines, swingarms, etc., for the 1986 motocross and supercross season.

The 2017 Suzuki RM-Z450 is a really good motorcycle, but it is also currently the oldest motorcycle in the 450cc class, in terms of when this incarnation of the machine was first released. Released for the 2008 model year, the RM-Z450 has received a lot of changes over the years, but nothing close to what could be considered a “redesign.” That means this design is 10 years old. That being said, here are a couple of images of Kevin Strijbos’ factory RM-Z450 which he will be racing in this year’s MXGPs. This is the new 2018 Suzuki RM-Z450, in factory-race trim. Check it out:
