2022 Suzuki DR-Z400SM Supermoto First Look

Suzuki announced some of its early model releases, including the 2022 DR-400SM. It returns with an MSRP of $7599. They are unchanged for 2022 but will be offered in two new color schemes–Solid Special White No. 2 and Solid Black.

Suzuki’s 2022 SuperMoto DR-Z400SM is the exciting Supermotard variant of the legendary DR-Z400S. The DR-Z400SM combines aggressive Supermotard style with high performance features in a svelte and lightweight package. Taking the DR-Z400SM down a twisty forest road, around tight canyon corners, or through commuter traffic is an exciting ride like no other.

Its 398cc, liquid-cooled, four-stroke engine provides strong low-rpm torque and crisp throttle response for a stirring and enjoyable ride. Key differences between the DR-Z400SM and the DR-Z400S include the inverted front fork, wide spoke-style wheels, and a 300mm diameter floating front brake rotor. The inverted fork helps minimize unsprung weight helping improve overall handling, while the large brake and wider rims shod with high-grip radial tires help offer an exhilarating riding experience.
