Reigning MotoAmerica Quad Lock Superbike Champion Bobby Fong will join OrangeCat Racing for the 2027 season, moving from Attack Performance Progressive Yamaha Racing squad.

Fong will contest the Superbike championship aboard an OrangeCat Racing BMW M 1000 RR alongside Sean Dylan Kelly, who finished second to Fong in the 2026 title fight. The Chicago-based team will continue its relationship with BMW Motorrad Motorsport as an official team.
The move follows a breakthrough 2026 campaign for Fong, who secured his first MotoAmerica Superbike championship after a dramatic season-long battle with Kelly. Fong finished the year with six race victories, including a crucial double at New Jersey Motorsports Park that reduced Kelly’s points advantage to two entering the season finale. Fong then finished sixth in the rain-affected final race to secure the championship by 11 points.
Fong’s arrival gives OrangeCat Racing a proven race and championship winner as it enters its second season in the premier MotoAmerica class. The team made its Superbike debut in 2026 after winning the 2025 Stock 1000 Championship with the BMW M 1000 RR, with Kelly finishing runner-up in the 2026 Superbike standings and Jayson Uribe also scoring strong results throughout the season.
The 2027 season will mark Fong’s first campaign aboard the BMW M 1000 RR after winning his title on Yamaha machinery.
