The Trans-USA Series Introduced Pro Riders to Millville

In this week’s Throwback we dial back the clock to 1982 and visit Millville, Minnesota’s Spring Creek MX Park. This photo shows the start of one of the Trans-USA motos. It’s hard to see, but that’s Michigan’s Jeff Ellens leading the pack out of the turn. Another Michigan Mafia member Dave Hollis won the overall that day on a privateer Suzuki. Riders were impressed by Spring Creek and encouraged officials to hold AMA Motocross Nationals there, which they promptly did starting the very next season.
