After a quick skip across the globe, the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship resumed with round four of the series taking place in Guadalajara, Mexico. But the new scenery brought about the same results, as Red Bull KTM’s Taddy Blazusiak blasted his way to yet another victory. The five-time champion appears to be well on his way to a sixth as he continues to dominate the indoor off-road series.

Following his strong performance at the previous round in Finland, AMA EnduroCross Champion Cody Webb capitalized on the highly technical nature of the Mexican course, finished a strong second place, nearly challenging Blazusiak for the overall win in the final race.

Jonny Walker, fresh off his win at Hell’s Gate only one week ago, made it an all KTM podium. Walker took third overall ahead of Bel-Ray Husqvarna’s Alfredo Gomez, who carded fourth. David Knight rounded out the top-five in another exciting night of racing.

Right from the start, it was Blazusiak, Webb and Walker out front, as the three battled for the Super Pole. All three were within one second of each other, but it was Blazusiak who stopped the clock the fastest.

In the opening race, Blazusiak took the holeshot only to have Walker pass him on the first obstacle. Then Walker went down on the second and had to work his way back up from fifth. Blazusiak went on to take the win but Walker moved up to second place by the finish line.

Blazusiak had a mid-pack start in the second race where riders start in reverse order. He had a very good line over the firewood and rocks and went wide to pass his way into second, where he set to work battling Knight for the lead. When Knight pushed Blazusiak wide, it was just the opportunity Webb needed to slip by them both and secure the lead. Walker came from behind to take second while Blazusiak held on for third.

With the overall at stake, the final race was a nail-biter, as the KTM riders once again dueled it out. Blazusiak was the only rider doubling over the water section, which proved to be a big advantage. He went on to take his second win of the night ahead of Webb and Gomez.

“It feels great to get four straight wins in the championship,” Blazusiak said. “Everything feels like it’s going better than ever. I knew coming into Mexico that the racing was going to be tight and competitive. But I also knew that if I could just be consistent and put in decent lap times then I could get the top step of the podium. I had some fun battles – especially in the final race with Cody [Webb] – so it’s been a great result to win here.”

Webb’s RPM/KTM teammate Ty Tremaine had a stellar night in Guadalajara, and once again topped the Junior division. It was Tremaine’s night in Mexico, as he took all three Junior race victories and has now regained the points lead in the championship. His nearest competitor in the series, Andreas Linusson, had a sub-par evening with three third-place finishes, yielding a total of 15 points to Tremaine.

Fellow American rider Kyle Redmond is also continuing to advance in the championship. The factory Beta USA rider is showing steady improvement, and carded a seventh-place finish in Mexico with his 8-6-5 tally.

Due to his recently diagnosed broken wrist, American KTM rider Taylor Robert is out for the rest of the FIM SuperEnduro Championship. Robert had been running sixth in the series. Although he was not able to compete, Robert was still on hand at in Guadalajara to cheer on his fellow American racers and even help out with social media for the series.
