2025 Denver Supercross Round 16 Results

Let’s do this Denver! Welcome to round 16 of the 2025 Monster Energy AMA Supercross series, the penultimate race of the season. Cooper Webb leads Chase Sexton by 12 points in the 450SX division while Haiden Deegan continues his stronghold over the 250SX West class.

After two exciting main events, Chase Sexton and Haiden Deegan top the Denver podiums.

450SX MAIN EVENT

The 450SX Main Event kicked off with a bang as Malcolm Stewart grabbed the holeshot over the championship leaders, Cooper Webb and Chase Sexton. Webb quickly made his way to the lead around Stewart and made a break for it.

Sexton made a pass around Stewart for second and quickly set his sights on the leader Webb. He ran it in with aggressive pass just before the finish and made contact as Sexton passed for the lead. From there the KTM rider checked out with an eight second gap at the line. Sexton needs to win and did what he could to score maximum points.

Webb still held on for second after getting passed. He came under fire from the rest of the podium contenders but still managed to land second. Webb still leads the series by nine over Sexton with one round left.

Sexton made an aggressive move for the lead and ran away with the win.

Justin Cooper rounded out the podium behind his teammate Webb. He battled with Malcolm Stewart for the majority of the main but made a pass stick in the final few laps. Cooper worked as a good teammate and protected Webb from the charging Stewart and the Yamaha duo crossed the line second and third.

Stewart took fourth with Aaron Plessinger rounding out the top five.

250SX MAIN EVENT

with the championship on the line, the 250SX main event was sure to be a nail biter. Cole Davies grabbed the holeshot and quickly began to check out with the early lead. The rookie led almost all of the main event but ran into lappers and saw his lead diminish over the course of a few laps.

With two laps to go, Haiden Deegan made a charge while running in the second position. Deegan ran up the inside of his teammate Davies and contact sent the rookie off the track. Davies got stuck on the backside of the bowl turn and dropped from first to fifth.

With the #38 now in first and Davies dropping back to fifth, this gave Deegan the edge to clinch the championship. He cruised to the win by more than 10 seconds and sealed the deal at the checkered flag.

Haiden Deegan made an aggressive pass which put Davies off the track and back to fifth. Deegan cruised to the win and secured the 250SX West title in the process.

Julien Beaumer fought his way to second at the line. The Red Bull KTM rider started outside the top five but chipped away at the front runners as the laps wore down. Beaumer found himself in podium position but grabbed another spot once Michael Mosiman and Cole Davies had their struggles.

Garrett Marchbanks crossed the finish in third. The Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider started back in eighth and continuously made progress as we worked through the field. With two laps to go, Marchbanks passed into third and grabbed the final spot on the box.

QUALIFYING

450SX 

The track is dry and hard-packed as Denver usually is and the first qualifier delivered the fastest times. Chase Sexton is 12 points down from Cooper Webb and needs to win if he wants a shot at the title. The KTM rider was the only rider in the 49-second range, setting the pace for the day by being more than a full second faster than anyone else on track. Malcolm Stewart clocked second and was one-tenth quicker than points leader Cooper Webb.

The West Coast is back in action after a few weeks off. Julien Beaumer fired first and set the fastest time in both qualifying sessions.  He topped the overall times, just three-tenths quicker than points leader Haiden Deegan. Jordon Smith rounded out the overall podium, but the top six riders were all on the same second.
