New Smyrna Beach, FL (May 9, 2016) – As an added bonus, the winner of the inaugural JuniorMotoX Jesse Cup (a special race featuring the top Supermini riders) will be invited to spend a day at the Bakers’ Factory for a behind the scenes look at what the top professional motocross racers do to prepare themselves to compete for championships. The Lucas Oil JuniorMotoX event will take place inside the Lazy E Arena on May 12-14, just a short drive north of Oklahoma City.
Aldon Baker is arguably the best motocross trainer to ever work in the sport. He burst onto the American Motocross scene in the early 2000s when he began to train Ricky Carmichael. The duo won multiple championships before Carmichael retired and Baker moved on to earn several additional titles with other riders including Ryan Villopoto. Baker’s current group of riders includes Ryan Dungey, Jason Anderson and Marvin Musquin and they prepare for battle at Bakers’ Factory, a purpose built motocross training facility in central Florida.
“It will be great to show one of these top mini racers the Bakers’ Factory and how we prepare for racing at the top level,” said Aldon Baker.
“This is something that money can’t buy so we are really grateful to Aldon for his generosity to offer this experience to our JuniorMotoX Jesse Cup winner,” said Eric Peronnard, co-founder of the JuniorMotoX. “There is a good chance that that same rider will one day train with Aldon at Bakers’ Factory”.
The Jesse Cup winner and a guest will be responsible for getting to Orlando and from there, be picked up for a day at the Bakers’ Factory. Eric Peronnard will provide transportation and serve as the host for the day.
In addition to a great venue and some of the best dirt on earth for racing dirt bikes, the JuniorMotoX will include a live webcast and TV feature on MavTV. MavTV includes some of the best motorsports programming available. Get more info at: www.mavtv.com.
