Lux Turner has extended his stay with the Toyota Redlands BarX Racing team as he’s re-signed for the 2027 and 2028 seasons. The Nevada native showed promise earlier this year as he finished 10th in the 250SX West division of Supercross and earned a career-best sixth-place finish at the Denver round. He later grabbed another career-best seventh at the opening round of Pro Motocross and currently sits 17th in the series standings.
“Inking my deal for the next two years feels amazing,” Turner said. “The team and myself are building together to get to the next step, and I believe the next two years with Toyota Redlands BarX Racing will be amazing and we are going to surprise a lot of people. Within the first few weeks of being here I knew that I really enjoyed being a part of this team and it’s only been up from there. Everyone on the team works well together and it’s a good environment to excel in.”
“My goals for the rest of the season are to finish out the last three rounds of MX up front battling and take that momentum into SMX [Playoffs],” added Turner. “I feel relieved that I have a home for the next two years. It will allow me to focus even more on the races ahead and grow and build stronger for the future. Next year, plain and simple…the goal is to land on the podium and be up front and in the fight at every round.”
“Myron [Short] and I are really excited to have Lux with us for the next two years,” said Paul Smith, co-owner of the team and President of Toyota of Redlands. “Since he joined Toyota of Redlands BarX Racing, we’ve both enjoyed getting to know him, not only as a rider, but also as a person. He fits in great with this team. He works hard, and you can tell he genuinely wants to be here and be a part of what we’re building. We both believe in Lux and what he’s capable of. He has the speed, the talent, and most importantly, the drive to keep getting better. We feel like we’re just starting to see what he can do.”
