2026 Los Angeles SuperMotocross Playoff Results (Updated)

The SuperMotocross World Championship Playoffs take to Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, California for round two of the 2026 post-season Playoffs. This weekend’s conditions look much different than round one’s muddiest and the sun is shining here in SoCal. Round two also pays double points so it’s make or break for anyone who underperformed last week. Stay tuned to this thread as we bring you all the action from LA.

450 MOTO 1

Jorge Prado grabbed the holeshot of the first 450 moto and took control of the early lead as Haiden Deegan and Ken Roczen jockeyed for the rest of the podium spots. Prado stayed up front for the first half of the race before getting into lapped traffic where he surrendered the top spot to Roczen. He managed to get close again in the final two laps but didn’t run it in for the pass to seal the deal. After leading early, he took second.

Ken Roczen overtook for the lead at the half way point right as the lead pack entered lapped riders. The PMG Suzuki rider navigated the lappers and only got held up a few times. He precise line choices paid off as he led going into the final two laps. Prado made a run at the line but never got too aggressive with this year’s Supercross champ. Roczen struck first with the opening win, just 1.3 seconds clear of Prado.

Haiden Deegan stayed in the hunt for the entire race and battled with the two leaders. He set the fastest lap of the race but couldn’t find a way to get around either Prado or Roczen. Still another strong ride for last week’s winner as he landed on the podium and sets up his night for a strong overall result.

Hunter Lawrence and Cooper Webb rounded out the top five after clearing Eli Tomac in the later stages of the race.

250 MOTO 1

Julien Beaumer kicked off the night with a dominant opening victory. The Red Bull KTM rider grabbed the holeshot and held the early lead over a close top three to start the race. Despite constant pressure from Ryder DiFrancesco and Cole Davies, Beaumer never relinquished the top spot and led all 24 laps. He starts the night with a big win over the rest of the field.

Ryder DiFrancesco crossed the line in second. The two top qualifiers started first and second and were wheel to wheel in the opening laps. DiFrancesco would close n Beaumer only to have a wheel shown by Davies. This yo-yo effect went on for 15-minutes until Davies finally made the pass for second. Shortly after, Davies fell in the sand and immediately handed the spot back to Ryder D. With a second to start the night, he’s firmly in contention for the overall win.

Drew Adams finished fourth and benefitted most from Davies’ fall. The Pro Circuit Kawasaki rider ran inside the top five and ahead of his teammate Levi Kitchen. Davies made his way but the crash in the sand gave the position back to Adams late in the race.

Davies managed to cross the line in fourth with his teammate Kayden Minear rounding out the top five.

250 MOTO 2

Julien Beaumer fired out of the gate for his second holeshot of the night as he controlled the early parts of race two. The same two challengers, Ryder DiFrancesco and Cole Davies, battled for the second position in the first few laps.

The race completely changed when Davies cartwheeled over the ski jump while running in second position. DiFrancesco was right behind during the incident and ran into Davies bike which forced him onto the ground as well. The damage sustained to Davies’ bike was too much to continue and he retired from early from the race. DiFrancesco remounted unscathed but was now back in 11th position.

With the pressure off of Beaumer’s shoulders, the KTM rider cruised it in for third at the line. He essentially let Levi Kitchen by for the lead and later allowed Jo Shimoda to sneak by, knowing neither rider played a part in his overall win. A 1-3 night proved enough for Beaumer to clinch the overall and score double points for round two.

Levi Kitchen easily took the win in moto two after passing Beaumer for the lead. 7-1 results netted him third on the night, making it two podiums in two weeks for the Kawasaki rider.

Ryder DiFrancesco fought all the way up to fifth at the finish line which was enough to put him on the overall box. The overall points would flip-flop with every pass and Ryder D controlled the narrative as he pushed through the field in the closing stages of the race. 2-5 scores put him second overall, one point clear of Kitchen.

450 QUALIFYING

Hunter Lawrence is putting his name in the running for the top spot as he set the fastest qualifying time in the 450SMX division. This year’s Pro Motocross champion finished outside the top 10 last weekend but came out swinging today with the quickest time by just over a tenth of a second. He and Jorge Prado were the only two rider in the 49-second range as they established themselves at the front of the field. Prado leads the points and set multiple fast laps during the session but ultimately came out second. Haiden Deegan was a close third with a flat 50-second lap and looks to repeat his win from round one.

250 QUALIFYING

Julien Beaumer is the fastest 250 rider of the day. After struggling at round one, the Red Bull KTM rider looks right at home here in the hard packed conditions. His 51.096 was about half-a-second quicker than anyone else and he heads to the gate first for today’s motos. Ryder DiFrancesco was a close second behind Beaumer. The Husqvarna rider is securely in the points hunt for the SMX title and is another California native who feels comfortable in the dry. Look for him to be fast come the night show. Last year’s SMX champion, Jo Shimoda, grabbed third overall. The Honda HRC rider had a horrendous showing last week and is surely looking to put that behind him here in Carson. Chance Hymas clocked fourth with points leader, Levi Kitching rounding out the top five overall.
