Ducati is ready for the ultimate desert race as they unveiled their all-new EDS 450 Rally bike at this year’s EICMA show. The new EDS 450 Rally is built in collaboration with Rebel X Sports and is set to be raced at the 2027 Dakar Rally in the Original by Motul category in the hands of Italian rider, Tiziano Internò. The production units are limited to just 35 bikes and will be available for pre-order in February 2027.

Further details into the purpose-built Desmo EDS feature engineering from Manuel Lucchese, an experienced Dakar rider and motorcycle designer. The bike sports 8.9 gallons of fuel with rear brake lights built into the tanks. GET handles the ECU with specific desert racing maps and a GPS-enabled speed limiter for Dakar’s stage speed-limit zones. Brembo factory racing calipers are mounted front and rear along with a full titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic.

There is no word yet on final pricing for the Desmo EDS 450 Rally. With only 35 units available to the public, we imagine this machine will feature a price tag north of $50,000.
