Chinese motorcycle manufacturer, KOVE, officially announced they will enter the FIM Motocross World Championship starting in 2027. The brand was originally planning to contest the EMX250 series but now says they will take on the full MXGP World Championship with two riders. The program is set to be managed by Tom Steensels who has previous experience running the TBS Conversions KTM team. Riders and bikes for the team have yet to be officially announced.
Kove confirmed the news via their social media saying, “KOVE will enter the FIM Motocross World Championship in 2027 with its own Factory Racing Team. Two riders will line up in the MXGP class, marking a new chapter in KOVE’s international racing program. Led by Team Manager Tom Steensels and his experienced crew, preparations are already underway across development, testing and team building. This is the beginning of a long-term factory racing program with one clear goal: to compete and establish KOVE at the highest level of motocross.”
