The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team announced their rider, Aaron Plessinger, is out for this weekend’s round of AMA Supercross. Plessinger has suffered crashes at the last two races – Indy and Birmingham – and needs an extra week for recovery. No injuries are currently reported but both crashes were significant and forced Plessinger to not finish. AP currently sits10th in the 450SX points with a season-best finish of sixth at Daytona.
“Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Aaron Plessinger will miss Detroit’s 11th round of 450SX this weekend,” the team wrote. “Still feeling the effects of crashes in recent weeks, The Cowboy intends to reset and give his body an extra week to heal up.”
