Defending FIM MX2 World Champion Simon Laengenfelder is moving to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team for the 2026 season as he looks for repeat titles in the 250cc division. Laengenfelder previously rode for the Italian-based “De Carli Racing” portion of the KTM team but now transitions to the full-factory Austrian team alongside former MX2 champion Andrea Adamo and managed by Joel Smets. Laengenfelder has also made the switch to from Fly Racing to Alpinestars gear and boots while keeping Airoh helmets and 100 Percent goggles.
