The Monster Energy/Yamaha Star Racing team is set to a have another new face under their awning this weekend as amateur standout Kayden Minear is set to make his pro debut with the team at round 3 of the 2025 Pro Motocross Championship this Saturday at Thunder Valley in Lakewood, Colorado.

Minear, the Australian newcomer, swept the SMX Next Motocross Combine last weekend at Hangtown and will take a spot on the team just as Jeremy Martin has decided to sit out until Millville. The team made it clear that Minear will race “a few a few outdoor rounds before Loretta Lynn’s”, using these rounds as prep for the annual amateur national.

“I’m so grateful to have been given the opportunity to make my pro debut this weekend at Thunder Valley,” said Minear in the team announcement. “I’ve been putting in a lot of work with the team to get up to speed, and I’m confident that I can go compete with the pros and get the results we’re looking for.”
