The first two events in the Best In The Desert 2022 Series, the Parker 250 and the Parker 425, take place in Parker, Arizona. Open to Motorcycle, UTV and Quad Classes, the Parker 250 race will run 250 miles of challenging terrain including the Osbourne Wash, Midway and The Rock Pile. There are also a lot of new, exciting changes to this year’s Parker 250, including running the course in reverse.
The following is an excerpt from a press release from BITD…
Las Vegas, NV (Dec. 29, 2021) – There’s not much lead time between the end of one Best In The Desert racing season and the next! The series is busy getting ready for the much-loved, highly-anticipated Parker 250, this year sponsored by Shock Therapy, the premier suspension tuning company in the off-road industry, and presented by BlueWater Resort Hotel and Casino.
The Shock Therapy Parker 250 Presented by BlueWater Resort Hotel and Casino will run from January 6-8, 2022. For the first time ever, Best In The Desert will be qualifying the motorcycle Open Professional Class.
The race will run 250 miles of challenging, yet scenic terrain along the Colorado River. Racers can expect the same challenges as years past like the Osbourne Wash, Midway and The Rock Pile. Also for the first time ever, the Shock Therapy Parker 250 Presented by BlueWater Resort Hotel and Casino will run the entire 125-mile race course in reverse, an exciting and demanding change for veteran competitors and spectators.
Best In The Desert has also finalized a three-year deal with CBS Sports Network to air select events. Thus, the Shock Therapy Parker 250 Presented by BlueWater Resort Hotel and Casino will air on the CBS Sports network no more than two weeks after the conclusion of the event. Stay tuned for an air date.
