This photo well illustrates the days of the Laguna Seca Raceway World Superbike race, which brought together the top AMA Superbike riders to do battle with WSBK regulars.

This photo shows Suzuki WSBK rider Jamie Whitham (8) leading a pack of talented road racers through the corkscrew that included AMA regular Ben Bostrom (101), Carl Fogarty (2), Aaron Slight (111), Jamie Hacking (92), Peter Goddard (6), Gregorio Lavilla (35). Colin Edwards (45) and Scott Russell (44).

WSBK riders Troy Corser and Noriyuki Haga took the wins that day, but AMA riders Doug Chandler and Ben Bostrom both scored podium finishes.

World Superbike comes to Mazda Laguna Seca for its annual stop this coming weekend in Monterey, California.
