Factory KTM Off-road international racer, and current Argentina Enduro Champion, Kevin Benavides, will be racing this weekend’s Jester National Enduro on June 1st, in Arrington, Virginia, as a member of the Maxxis/Klim/Dirtwise team, riding a KTM from the stable of Shane Watt’s DirtWise “Ready to Race” program.

Benavides was seventh in the XC2 class at this past weekend’s GNCC in West Virginia after running as high as fifth in the beginning of the race.

Benavides is hoping for a top 10 this weekend in Virginia.

“Enduro is my specialty so I am really looking forward to this race, but I do understand the trail here will be much more closed than in Europe for World Championship, like with grass track,” said Benavides. “In training with Wattsy, I already feel the American trees and they are hard and do not like to move. For my first race with this format I think top 10 is for me.”

This weekend’s Kenda AMA National Enduro event in Virginia will see someone other than Charlie Mullins standing on the top step of the podium. Mullins has won every round of the series so far, however, the FMF/KTM rider dislocated his wrist earlier in the week and will out for an undetermined amount of time.
