Press Release | August 25, 2026

Italian Enea Bastianini will join Trackhouse Aprilia for the 2027 MotoGP World Championship, signing a two-year deal that will keep him with the American squad through the 2028 season.

Bastianini will replace Ai Ogura, who is moving to the factory Yamaha team for 2027, and will partner with Raul Fernandez, who recently extended his Trackhouse contract through 2028. The move completes Trackhouse’s rider lineup for MotoGP’s new 850cc era.

Bastianini will leave Red Bull KTM Tech3 at the conclusion of the 2026 season after two years with the Austrian manufacturer. The 28-year-old previously enjoyed considerable success with Ducati, scoring six MotoGP victories and finishing third in the 2022 championship. He finished fourth in the 2024 title fight after scoring nine Grand Prix podiums, including two victories.

Bastianini will make his first appearance with Trackhouse and Aprilia machinery at the Valencia test following the 2026 season, beginning preparations for the major technical changes coming to MotoGP in 2027, including smaller 850cc engines, new Pirelli tires and heavily reduced aerodynamics.

“Starting from the test in Valencia this year, it is going to be a real new challenge for me as we are entering a new era with a new bike, new tires and new regulations,” said Bastianini. “For this, I am happy to bring my experience and my fighting spirit to Trackhouse so that we can develop the new Aprilia RS-GP together.”

Trackhouse owner Justin Marks said Bastianini’s experience and race-winning pedigree make him an ideal addition as the team continues its push toward the front of MotoGP.CN
