It all comes down to this! The 11th round of the 2026 AMA Pro Motocross Championship heads to Ironman Raceway in Crawfordsville, Indiana for the season finale. Both titles are set to be decided today with Hunter and Jett Lawrence only being separated by a single point in the 450MX division. Cole Davies now leads the 250MX class over Levi Kitchen after taking over the points lead last weekend. Let’s get into the action!

Ironman marks the final round of this year’s Pro Motocross Championship.

450 MOTO 1

Haiden Deegan grabbed the holeshot off the start of the first 450 moto with Hunter Lawrence closely in tow. As the duo entered the woods section, Deegan tucked the front end with Lawrence crashing into the back of him. Lawrence remounted in dead last as his championship looked again to be out of reach. The other title favorite, Jett Lawrence, circulated outside the top 15 on lap one.

Hunter Lawrence (96) started up front in the first 450 moto but went down with Haiden Deegan on lap one.

Up front, Cooper Webb led the way for a brief moment until Jorge Prado moved to the top spot. From there the KTM rider controlled the race for remaining laps to claim his first-ever moto win in the US. Prado dismissed the chaos going on behind him and made it look easy en route to the win.

Prado crossed the line more than 11-seconds clear of seconds place.

RJ Hampshire took an easy second place finish for his best result of the season. Cooper Webb crossed the line in third for his best finish after Mikkel Haarup fell win the final few laps.

The championship drama continued to unfold as Hunter Lawrence crashed on the opening lap after running into the back of Haiden Deegan. He remounted back in last but passed all the way to eighth and salvaged enough points to maintain the lead going into the final moto of the season.

Hunter and Jett both struggled in the opening moto. Hunter got back to eighth while Jett finished back in 11th, his worst result of the year.

“The first lap in the first moto, I was like, ‘Here we go again,’” Lawrence said about the first lap crash.

Hunter Lawrence was not thrilled after the first moto.

Jett Lawrence aggravated his foot in the qualifying session and rode in pain for the entire first moto. Hunter made an easy pass on the defending champ as the two picked up the pace in the second half of the moto. Jett only got as far as 11th in moto, marking his worst result of the year.

450 MOTO 2

Jorge Prado again dominated the second 450 moto en route to 1-1 finishes on the day. Prado grabbed the holeshot and led wire to wire for all 16 laps. His performance was nearly overlooked amongst the championship drama but the former MXGP World Champion put in his best ride of the year as he qualified fastest and easily won both motos. He also became the only rider besides the Lawrences to score a moto win this season. Prado’s perfect day saw him score maximum points as he finished fourth in the championship, three points shy of Deegan in third. Still, this marked a stellar day for the KTM rider as he ended the season on a high note.

Prado made it look easy with another win in moto two.

“It was a perfect day,” Prado said. “Fastest in qualifying and P1 in both motos. We made so much progress the past few weeks and we’re in such a good place with the bike. I’m so happy with all the hard work from the team. This is why I came here to the United States, to win.”

Prado is the only rider other than the Lawrences to score a win this season.

Second place went to Haiden Deegan. The 450 rookie came out hot in moto two and kept the pressure on Hunter Lawrence in the early stages of the race which forced a mistake. This allowed Deegan to slide through for second which is where he’d remain for the rest of the race. Unfortunately a 16th place finish in race one put him ninth overall.

Deegan bounced back with a second in moto two and went 16-2 for ninth overall.

The 450 rookie finished third in the championship standings.

Jett Lawrence finished third in moto two. After getting his ankle taped up between motos, the reigning champ looked much better than he did earlier in the day. He moved around Hunter right at the halfway mark once Hunter bobbled and the two remained neck-and-neck for the rest of the race. Even with a better result than Hunter in moto two, Jett finished sixth on the day and came up two points short of the championship.

Jett looked more like himself with a third in moto two.

“It’s a new feeling for me, getting second in a championship,” said Jett. “I put my heart into it, but today was just an off day. I tweaked my foot so many times in practice and in that first race, so it was a bummer. I tried my best in that second one, but I was just finished. Hunter rode unreal this year. He was the main guy; I did my best to try and get him, but I just couldn’t get it done—maybe I should’ve put some laxative in his coffee this morning! It was a good season, and I can’t be too bummed with everything I’ve gone through. I’m still very happy—congrats to Hunter!”

“I put my heart into it, but today was just an off day,” Jett said. “I tweaked my foot so many times in practice and in that first race, so it was a bummer. I tried my best in that second one, but I was just finished.”

Hunter followed him in for fourth in the moto and with it earned the 450MX championship. A mere two points separated the two brothers after 22 motos this season. This marks Hunter’s first title in the 450 division and sees him rebound after a heartbreaking Supercross season. The Lawrences are now the first siblings to ever both win premier class championships.

The brothers celebrate after the second moto.

“I can’t even put it into words,” Lawrence said. “It was a tough day for the Lawrences, as you can see, a pretty uncharacteristic day. Thank you to the team, my brother, my family, everyone that supports us. We’re living the American dream and couldn’t do this anywhere else.”

RJ Hampshire had his best day of the season in second overall. The Rockstar Husqvarna rider has shown speed all year but made it count at the finale. A second place in race one marked his best moto of the summer before a race-long battle with former champ, Eli Tomac, for the majority of moto two. 2-6 scores were quiet yet consistent for Hampshire and put him on the overall podium for the second time in his career, equaling his runner-up effort from Ironman last year. It also marks his final Pro Motocross with the Rockstar Husqvarna effort as they’ve announced concluding their factory effort after this season.

Hampshire battled with Eli Tomac in the final moto of the day.

“This is awesome,” Hampshire said. “Just a solid day. I didn’t do anything special. I got decent starts and made it happen. Huge thanks to the team at Rockstar Energy Husqvarna, what a way to go out.”

Second overall marks Hampshire’s best result of the season in his final Pro Motocross with the Rockstar Husqvarna team.

Cooper Webb ended his Pro Motocross career with a podium in third place overall. The three-time 450 Supercross champ was selected on Friday to be Team Captain for this year’s Motocross of Nations and seemed to be riding with extra aggression as he collected his best finish of the summer during moto one. Webb started fifth in moto two but slowly slipped back to eighth as the race wore on. His points haul narrowly edged out Eli Tomac and Hunter Lawrence for third on the day, marking his first podium since the 2023 season. Webb has been open about being Supercross-only for 2027 and beyond and caps his time in Pro Motocross on the box.

Webb’s 3-8 put him third overall for his final Pro Motocross race.

“This is a dream ending to a racing career at my last ever National,” Webb said. “I got called up to Team USA earlier this week and ended a Cinderella weekend on the podium. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. This feels like a win. What a dream come true to be up here one last time.”

Hunter Lawrence and Eli Tomac tied in points for the day to finish fourth and fifth respectively thanks to Hunter’s better second moto. This was Tomac’s best result, and his first top five, of the season.

2026-ironman-pro-motocross-tomac
Tomac managed to keep Hampshire at bay and grabbed his best finish of the season in fifth.

“I found a good flow in Moto two, and it was nice to finish the day strong like that,” Tomac said. “I had a lot of fun on this track – it was one of the best tracks that I have ever ridden, in my opinion. For how technical it was, and the things that it offered for us to race, it shaped up well.”

250 MOTO 1

Chance Hymas kicked off the day with a win in the opening 250 class moto. The Honda HRC rider took over the top spot on lap one after a quick back-and-forth with Julien Beaumer. Hymas looked to be running away with the race win but crashed after 10 minutes and dropped back to fourth. He remounted and put on a charge late in the race and found himself passing again for the lead with three laps to go. Hymas overtook Beaumer and led the final few laps to clinch the moto win.

That’s another moto win for Hymas.

Beaumer led a number of laps but took second at the line. He fell on the final lap while giving chase to Hymas but had enough gap to still earn a podium result.

Cole Davies crossed the line in third and more importantly clinched the 250 championship. Davies ran up front from the get go but was clearly in championship mode as he didn’t put up a big fight against Hymas or Beaumer. A safe third place finish, along with the DNF from Kitchen, allowed Davies to mathematically clinch the title one moto early. This is his first Pro Motocross title in only his second season and is the first rider from New Zealand to do so. Davies also became the third-youngest rider to win a 250SMX Class title in Supercross and Pro Motocross in the same season.

Davies played it safe with a third place in moto one.

“I expected nothing less than holding this plate at the end of the year,” Davies said. “Man, what a journey it’s been. I worked my whole life to be where I am now. It was an up and down season, but it was all worth it, and to do it on my birthday is unreal.”

He technically clinched the title after the first moto.

Levi Kitchen crashed twice in the early laps and retired early from the race, allowing Davies to mathematically cinch the 250 championship. Kitchen did not line up for the second moto and scored no points on the day. This forfeited his position for second in the championship as he later dropped to third.

2026-ironman-pro-motocross-kitchen
Things went from bad to worse at Kitchen tumbled down the Godzilla hill and damaged his bike.

“I’m bummed with how I ended the season at Ironman,” Kitchen said. “I felt pretty good on the bike throughout qualifying and was hoping to put together a strong final round, but unfortunately the first moto didn’t go our way. It’s disappointing to end the season like this, but now the focus is on recovering and doing everything I can to be ready for SMX.”

He later retired from the race and did not line up for moto two.

250 MOTO 2

Cole Davies had nothing to prove going into the final moto of the season especially once his rival Levi Kitchen opted out of the race. With that being said, he started up front yet again with three other Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha riders. He took over the lead within the first five minutes and checked out with the first place position. Once caught by Beaumer later in the race, Davies pace dropped and he later finished outside the top 10.

Julien Beaumer took his second career overall win to make it a double-victory for the Red Bull KTM team. He ran up front all day, taking the holeshot in race one and later finishing second after 30+2. Beaumer stalked the early leader in race two before passing for the lead at the halfway point. From there he controlled the rest of the moto for his second race win and second overall victory, both coming this season. A standout day, paired with Kitchen’s pair of DNF’s, allowed Beaumer to overtake second in the championship standings.

2026-ironman-pro-motocross-beaumer
Beaumer and Hymas battled again in moto two with Beaumer taking the win and the overall.

“It’s been a bit of a rough stretch the last few rounds,” Beaumer said. “But that [second moto] was me. I felt amazing and the bike was perfect. I couldn’t be happier. Buckle up, it’s SMX time. I’m fired up, let’s go.”

2026-ironman-pro-motocross-beaumer
This is only Beaumer’s second moto win and second career overall win.

Chance Hymas was the fastest rider on track during the second moto. The Honda HRC rider fell in the first five minutes of the race but remounted and upped the pace. He made multiple passes on each lap and put himself into a podium position with five minutes left in the race. Hymas had the fastest lap of the moto and landed second overall with 1-2, trading moto wins with Beaumer. He tied Kitchen for third in the championship standings.

Hymas traded moto wins with Beaumer and went 1-2 on the day.

“Earlier in the season I’d be super stoked to be in this position, but today I’m bummed,” Hymas said. “I rode my butt off in the second moto. If it wasn’t for that mistake. I’ve got to ride that roller coaster and in the grand scheme of things, I’m doing alright.”

2026-ironman-pro-motocross-hymas
Hymas was the fastest rider on track during the second moto and finished second overall.

Ryder DiFrancesco rounded out the overall podium in third. He had his work cut out all day as he rounded lap one way back in 28th place and clawed back to seventh. A better result came from race two where DiFrancesco ran as high as second before being passed by Hymas late in the moto. A 7-3 scorecard earned DiFrancesco his third overall podium of the year and helped cap off his best Pro Motocross season to date as he finished fifth in the championship.

2026-ironman-pro-motocross-difrancesco
Ryder DiFrancesco ended his season with a third in the second moto, good enough for third overall.

“Both qualifying sessions were good, and I literally came from the back to seventh in the first moto, which was a nice ride, although I’m still frustrated as I feel like I’m leaving a little bit on the table,” DiFrancesco said. “I think I’ll get off the gate well in SMX though and really show what we can do there. But it was a solid day in third overall, and now looking forward to these last three – I feel like we are in with a good shot at it.”

This is the first time the Spanish rider has ever qualified fastest in both sessions and leads the way going into today’s motos. Hunter Lawrence logged the second-best lap time late in the second session and trails Prado for second gate pick. Jett Lawrence was third overall and the final rider on the 2:07 second mark. Haiden Deegan and RJ Hampshire rounded out the top five.
