Taylor Park, CO (July 1, 2026) — The Trails Preservation Alliance (TPA), in partnership with Klim, is excited to announce the highly anticipated 2026 Klim Cow Tag Event, taking place July 17–19 in the heart of Colorado’s world-famous Taylor Park riding area.
Part motorcycle scavenger hunt, part backcountry adventure, and part trail stewardship project, the Klim Cow Tag is unlike any other off-road motorcycle event in the country. Every participant has the opportunity to spend part of their weekend giving back to the very trails they came to ride, making stewardship as much a part of the adventure as finding the next tag.
Armed with a GPX file containing “Cow Tag” locations, teams of riders will chart their own adventure across Taylor Park. Along the way, they’ll discover spectacular scenery, complete bonus challenges, earn points, and even spend time maintaining local trails alongside TPA staff and volunteers. It’s a format that rewards exploration, teamwork, and stewardship rather than speed.
The weekend includes the following:
- Two nights of camping in scenic Taylor Park
- Three catered meals
- Trail stewardship opportunities
- Live entertainment on Saturday evening
- More than $7,000 in product giveaways
- Hundreds of miles of legendary Colorado single-track and two-track
- The opportunity to meet special guest Megs Braap
In addition, Ride with Megs Braap clinics will be held throughout the weekend at the Taylor Park Trading Post. These optional riding clinics are available through a separate registration from the Cow Tag event, and a limited number of spots are still available for riders looking to improve their skills while spending time with one of off-road motorcycling’s most recognizable ambassadors.
Every registration directly supports the Trails Preservation Alliance’s year-round efforts to protect, maintain, and expand responsible motorized recreation opportunities. From professional trail crews and volunteer trail projects to advocacy and legal efforts that keep trails open, participants are investing in the future of riding every time they register.
“The Klim Cow Tag is built around the idea that we should leave the trails better than we found them,” said Chad Hixon, Executive Director of the Trails Preservation Alliance. “You’ll spend the weekend exploring some of the best riding in Colorado, but you’ll also have the opportunity to spend a couple of hours giving back through trail maintenance. That stewardship component is what truly sets this event apart while helping us continue the work of protecting riding opportunities for future generations.”
Taylor Park is widely regarded as one of the premier off-road destinations in North America, offering hundreds of miles of trails, alpine passes, stunning mountain scenery, and terrain suitable for a wide range of rider abilities. The Cow Tag format encourages participants to discover new routes, challenge themselves, and share the adventure with fellow riders who are passionate about protecting public lands and motorized access.
With the event just two weeks away, registration remains open for riders who want to be part of this one-of-a-kind weekend. Individuals are welcome and will be paired with a team at the event, making it easy for anyone to join the adventure.
