2026 Ohio Hard Enduro Round 3 Results

Round three of the Ohio Hard Enduro Championship Series, presented by Lancaster Sportcycles, brought the championship to a new stop in Racine with familiar Ohio toughness baked into every mile. Set on a 500-acre former mine property, the Yellowbush Hard Enduro marked the third year for the event itself, but its first appearance as part of the Ohio Hard Enduro calendar. And while the forecast hinted at rain, the day stayed dry—almost suspiciously dry—leaving riders to contend with an 86-degree, muggy afternoon and rock sections that looked harmless until the tires touched them.

The Amateur race opened the day on a 12.7-mile course that mixed fast, flowing single-track with creek beds, rocks, logs and enough tricky terrain to keep riders honest. After a season opener that introduced the series with brute force, and a second round that leaned into wet, slick brutality, round three offered something different: speed, heat and deceptively slick rock that punished hesitation.

At the front of the Amateur field, Bentlee Bredekamp continued to make noise in the Ohio series, taking the win after a race-long fight with Emmett Covington. Bredekamp, who had already shown serious pace earlier in the championship, was pushed hard throughout the day.

The two traded positions through the rock sections and creek beds, each finding trouble in the same places. Bredekamp said one muddy creek section cost both riders roughly two minutes, but the decisive moment came late. Hearing Covington behind him in the final mile, Bredekamp dug deep and stretched the gap just enough to secure the win.

Covington, a local Ohio rider, finished second after what may have been the best head-to-head battle of the morning. He described the track as fast and physical, particularly through the rocks, where the heat and effort began to stack up.

Cory King rounded out the Amateur podium in third, calling the course faster than the hard enduro training he had been doing. For King, the key was staying sharp in the tight single-track and managing traction in the slick rock sections.

In the afternoon, the Pro/A field faced an extended course of roughly 15 miles, with multiple added splits that quickly changed the tone of the race. Some sections that looked rideable turned into full-body efforts, forcing even the top riders off the bikes and into survival mode.

Braxton Hintze emerged with the Pro/A win for Champion Brick Racing, but even he admitted the course was harder than expected.

Hintze was first into the hardest sections on lap one, allowing him to avoid some of the chaos that developed behind. Dry rock proved greasy, and the Pro/A add-ins required pushing, dragging, and patience.

Tobin Miller, the round-two standout, finished second after a physically draining ride in the heat. Miller said he started overheating early and struggled in several slick creek sections, losing energy as the race wore on. Still, his runner-up result kept him firmly among the riders shaping the front of the Ohio Hard Enduro Championship Series.

Nick Fahringer finished third, leaning on his traditional enduro background to stay composed through the faster trail and conserve energy in the heat. Fahringer called the race a blend of fun, flowy woods and a few truly gnarly obstacles made difficult by the slick surface.

The defining obstacle of the day was Archer’s Ravine, a rocky gully that appeared simple from a distance but turned into one of the race’s major bottlenecks. Riders piled in, pushed, regrouped, and pushed again, proving once more that Ohio terrain does not need mud or rain to become difficult.

In a championship already earning its reputation for grit and variety, round three proved that Ohio Hard Enduro does not need rain, mud or chaos to make riders suffer—it only needs the right rocks, the right heat and enough miles to expose every weakness.
