For Metzeler and the British rider from Bradford, who have worked together for 14 years, the result marks their second Senior TT victory following their 2019 triumph. For the tire brand, it also represents a second consecutive Senior TT win, following Davey Todd’s victory in 2024, as the 2025 edition was canceled.

The result added to a run of four big-bike victories at the North West 200 and the only Superbike TT held in 2025, all achieved on Metzeler Racetec RR Slick tires. This year’s event enjoyed ideal conditions throughout Practice Week, but poor weather affected the racing schedule, and the Senior TT itself was significantly shortened following an incident.

Dean Harrison and his Honda CBR1000RR, equipped with Metzeler Racetec RR Slick tires, were among the standout performers across all categories at this legendary event.

For Metzeler, the TT serves as a global flagship activation. As the event’s Official Tire Partner, the brand supported the race with a dedicated Race Service, the Metzeler Village fan camping area, and the always-busy Metzeler Store located beneath the main TT Grandstand.

The 2026 event also saw Isle of Man TT legend John McGuinness celebrate his 30th year of competition. To mark the occasion, he completed a demonstration lap of the challenging circuit aboard a road-going Honda CBR1000RR-R fitted with the all-new Metzeler SPORTEC™ 01 RS road tires. The activity echoed the recent North West 200 promotion, with Dean Harrison entertaining fans aboard the Metzeler-liveried Fireblade.
