Repsol Honda HRC’s Toni Bou again dominated the FIM TrialGP of Italy in Camerino, June 20-21, topping both days. The TrialGP of Italy featured tough sections that were made tougher by the hot summer temperatures.
The Montesa Cota 4RT-mounted Bou finished well clear of runner-up Beta’s Matteo Grattarola and Jaime Busto. Honda/Montesa’s Miquel Gelabert and Bou’s Repsol Honda teammate Gabriel Marcelli rounded out the top five.

They were all back at it again the next day, battling amongst themselves and the heat. Again, Bou was unfazed and took the win well clear of Marcelli, who edged out Busto for the position despite injuring his hand early in the day. Gelabert was fourth and Sherco’s Jack Peace completed the top five. Grattarola slipped back to sixth.
In the championship, Bou is running away with it. He’s now far ahead of runner-up Marcelli, 240-174. But the battle for second is still up for grabs among Marcelli, Grattarola and Busto. Just 10 points separate the three riders.
“There’s still more than half the season to go, and this is just getting started,” Bou said. “We’ve accumulated a good number of points in the championship, so we can’t ask for more.” CN
