After eight hours of racing, the BMW #37 of Markus Reiterberger, Steven Odendaal and Michael van der Mark won the 8 Hours of Spa Motos.
The BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team converted its pole position into victory at the 8 Hours of Spa Motos, the second round of the 2026 FIM EWC. YART Yamaha takes second, Kawasaki Webike Trickstar completes the podium. On the finish line, six manufacturers finished within the top six overall.
After eight hours of racing on a track caught between sun and rain, the BMW #37 of Markus Reiterberger, Steven Odendaal and Michael van der Mark crossed the finish line in front of the rest of the field. Briefly displaced by the F.C.C. TSR Honda France #5 in the opening minutes, the Bavarian machine quickly took the lead back and held it through to the checkered flag. Heavy rain swept across the circuit midrace and the YART Yamaha had set itself up to capitalize. Dry conditions returning with one hour to go closed the door on any final twists.
The YART Yamaha #1 had built its strategy around fuel efficiency, running long stints. The shifting weather worked against them: the team had to pit twice in quick succession to swap tires, conceding ground that could no longer be recovered. Marvin Fritz, Karel Hanika and Leandro Mercado settled for second, 1’16.079 behind the leader. The reigning World Champions still hold the championship lead with 90 points.
The Kawasaki Webike Trickstar #11 of Roman Ramos, Christian Gamarino and Grégory Leblanc rounded out the podium, two laps down. The team picks up valuable points despite a crash during the race.
SERT recovers to fourth, F.C.C. TSR Honda France out
The Yoshimura SERT Motul #12 finished fourth, three laps off the leader. Gregg Black, Etienne Masson and Dan Linfoot had to fight back from an early crash and produced a long recovery to land just off the podium.
The race ended early for the F.C.C. TSR Honda France #5, winners of last year’s edition. The Honda of Alan Techer, Corentin Perolari and John McPhee was running in contention for the win and posted the fastest lap of the race in 2’19.750 (set by Perolari). A technical issue with a few hours to go ended the team’s day.
The Elf Marc VDS Racing Team/KM99 #99 also had a tough race. Running in the EWC top 4 at half distance, the Yamaha was hit by technical issues and a crash for Bo Bendsneyder during a rider change. The team rejoined and crossed the line in 29th overall.
Superstock: Revo-M2 takes the class win
The Superstock category went to Revo-M2 #49 (Kevin Calia, Simone Saltarelli, Flavio Ferroni) on Aprilia. The Italian outfit completed 186 laps and held off Wójcik Racing Team #77 SST (Oscar Gutierrez, Jordi Torres Fernandez, Mateusz Molik) by 1:37.528 to take class honors. Team 18 Pompiers IGOL CMS Motostore rounded out the Superstock podium. 24 Heures Motos class winner Champion-Hert Powered by MRP retired after 100 laps.
Production: ARTEC #199 wins the class
In the Production category, ARTEC #199 (Paul Barre, Julien Mathon, Jacky Dejoye) took the class win on Kawasaki, ahead of Team HTC Racing #16 on Yamaha and Mana-au Competition #531 on Honda.
Rolled out this weekend at the 8 Hours of Spa Motos, the Motul Challenge delivered on its first outing. All 15 entered teams took the start of the second round of the FIM EWC, and the scheme crowned its first two winners: Team Étoile in Superstock and ARTEC #199 in Production.
Championship standings
YART Yamaha retains the EWC championship lead with 91 points, ahead of Yoshimura SERT Motul (69 points) and BMW Motorrad World Endurance Team (68 points), now within a single point of second place. Kawasaki Webike Trickstar sits fourth (64 points).
The third round of the 2026 FIM EWC takes place at the Suzuka 8 Hours, Japan, July 3-5.
