Christian Craig announced his early departure from the Star Racing Yamaha team.

“Just wanted to give everyone an update on what I’m doing,” Craig wrote on Instagram. “I have asked and have been granted an early release from my two year contract with Star Racing Yamaha. I’ve had a lot of great memories riding blue including winning a 250 SX Championship together. Thanks to everyone for the support and will update you on my future soon.”

Craig’s best result this season came with a pair of 11th place finishes at Denver and Salt Lake City.

Rejoining the team at the end of 2024 marked Craig’s reunion with the Star Racing team after racing for the Yamaha effort in 2021 and winning the 2022 250SX West Regional Championship together. He later signed to the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna team for 2023 and 2024 but was riddled with injuries as he transitioned to the 450 class. Craig’s best result this season came at Denver and Salt Lake City where he finished 11th in the 450SX main event.
