Malcolm Smith Adventures has announced the dates for its 2026 Baja Ride, a dirt-bike adventure that traverses the Baja peninsula with 1300-1800 miles of trails, beaches and memories. Signups will open later this summer.
This is a press release from Malcolm Smith Adventures…
Have you always dreamed about riding in Baja? We saddle up in Ensenada at the famous Estero Beach Hotel and finish seven days later at land’s end in Cabo San Lucas.
This is not a Tour. This is a dirt bike adventure. You will not be forced to ride in a pack or follow the leader. You will be following a GPS at your own pace. There will be support riders around to offer assistance if needed but the ride is your own. You will be able to pick and choose for yourself what route you want to take each day.
The Baja Ride History
The Baja Ride is the result of Malcolm’s dream of showing his riding buddies the magic of Baja. In 1994, on a lonely dusty highway outside of Bahia de Los Angeles, the Smith family was traveling north after an exciting Baja adventure. Talking out loud, Malcolm mused about how cool it would be to show friends the incredible raw beauty of Baja. Months later, with the help of his wife Joyce, Malcolm Smith Adventures was born as the first 30 brave men lined up at Hacienda Santa Veronica for an epic trip to Cabo. Throughout the next 28 years the ride has grown and changed but always stays true to Malcolm’s vision of independent riding through the best terrain and scenery Baja has to offer.
In 2003 Malcolm’s son, Alexander, participated in the ride for the first time and in 2011 took over the ride and has never looked back.
The Experience
The route covers some of the most beautiful scenery and remote areas that Baja has to offer. We have been exploring in Baja for over 50 years and can show you some places that most Baja riders don’t even know exist. Our tracks truly set us apart from the rest.
