Owing to the motorsport successes of the Triumph Street Triple 765 and the resulting increase in demand, anyone racing a Street Triple 765 can purchase an officially approved engine modification kit from a choice of three approved engine builders. These kits increase engine performance specifically for racing use with eligible modifications and parts approved for Supersport Next Generation (BSB) and FIM technical regulations.

Born from the road bike, the popular Street Triple 765cc triple is the engine that powers the Moto2 World Championship. Since Triumph became the exclusive engine supplier to Moto2, lap records and top speeds have been smashed as the powerplant has rejuvenated the feeder category.

Triumph’s commitment to racing has burgeoned since entering Moto2 in 2019, and now Triumph 765 machines are competing and winning in series from World Supersport, British Supersport and various national Supersport championships to the Daytona 200 and in road racing around the world, including the prestigious and gruelling Isle of Man TT.

There has previously been one approved engine builder in the UK, and with the surge in demand, Triumph has now added two more approved engine builders for customers to choose from.

Ian Kimber, Head of Global Racing Programmes at Triumph Motorcycles: “It’s great to be able to announce a selection of new partners to our approved Supersport engine builder list, as this will mean that we can support more riders who want to race with our Street Triple platform. The 765cc engine, which is also used in the Moto2 championship, has already proven how competitive it can be on track both in the National and World championships, as well as on the roads. With these additional engine builders, this race winning package will be even more accessible worldwide and will help extend our racing programme further.”
