Austin Forkner and Pierce Brown To Return at Millville

Ryan Nitzen | July 13, 2023

Two familiar faces will rejoin the 2023 AMA Pro Motocross Championship this weekend at the Spring Creek National in Millville, Minnesota. Austin Forkner of the Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki team and Pierce Brown of the Troy Lee Designs Red Bull Factory Racing effort will both be on the gate for the first time this summer.

Forkner will line up for the first time since the Anaheim 1 Supercross.

Forkner was injured at the Anaheim One Supercross where he tore his ACL in the first turn. Unfortunately, we haven’t seen Forkner in action all year as he didn’t complete one lap of a Supercross main event. He’ll return to the Pro Circuit Kawasaki squad where he’s been a longtime staple to the roster. Forkner has been working with Ryan Hughes in preparation for his return to competition.

Look for Forkner on the #55 Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki.

Brown also has not raced a Pro Motocross round this summer as he sustained a broken hand just before round one. He also disclosed that he’d been riding with a torn meniscus during the Supercross series and opted to get that fixed while healing from the hand injury. Brown will return to the TLD Red Bull GasGas team where Caden Braswell is currently filling in for both Brown and Michael Mosiman.
