The Monster Energy Star Racing Yamaha Team signed 17-year-old Daxton Bennick to its long-term roster. The rider from North Carolina joined the team late last year for a six-month trial. Since then, Bennick has collected multiple wins and championships in the amateur ranks and will remain with the team after signing a multi-year deal.
Bennick will now focus on the Monster Energy AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn Ranch and then will get the opportunity to race the Scouting Moto Combine and select rounds of the AMA Pro Motocross 250MX Championship.
“He’s shown us that he fits our program by putting in the work over the last six months, and that hard work also shows in the incredible amount of progress that he has made,” said Star Racing’s 250cc Team Manager Jensen Hendler.
