2022 Beta RR Lineup First Look

Cycle News Staff | June 4, 2021

The Beta RR models come in four sizes: 125, 200, 250 and 300. All four of the 2022 models received updated suspension and the 300 gets a new engine.

The Italian manufacturer says that it made a big push to upgrade the 2022 RR models to enhance the overall riding experience.

The 300’s new engine, combined with a dedicated new engine-control-unit map, now has a smoother and more progressive response to throttle input along with a more linear power delivery, according to Beta. The 300 also receives a new silencer to better match the power delivery of the updated engine.

The bore and stroke on the 300 RR’s engine have been completely revised to improve the power delivery and torque.
2022 Beta 125 RR
The 125 RR (pictured) didn’t get a new engine, but it did get new settings that Beta says give it a more linear power delivery.
2021 Beta 200 RR
The 200 shares the same engine and chassis platform of the 125, but it has more torque, an electric start and oil injection.

The Sachs shock on all the RRs have new compression-damping settings, with independent high- and low-speed damping-rate settings. The front fork has new internal valving in addition to a new fork coating. Beta explains that the fork coating is the result of a new anodizing process that improves the surface hardness and corrosion resistance of the tubes.

Beta 250 RR Rear Shock
High- and low-speed damping settings can now be adjusted independently on the RR models.
2022 Beta 250 RR
Beta gave both the 250 RR (pictured) and 300 RR models a new diaphragm clutch that provides a lighter lever pull and a more progressive feel. Clutch settings can be adjusted with three different spring options to suit clutch-feel preference.
