AHRMA Revamps National Motocross Championship Series

AHRMA revamps National Motocross Championship Series format for 2020 season. The goal is to offer members a National Championship Series that is more competitive, easier to attend, and more fun! 2020 will be a transition year. We hope to build on this new National/District series concept in future years based on member feedback.

AHRMA revamps National Motocross Championship Series

This is a press release from AHRMA…

2020 Highlights:

  • New District Championships! East / West / Central Series Championships awarded in addition to National Championship.
  • New for 2020, an end-of-season Double-Points National Championship Final Race weekend followed by an end-of-season off-road awards banquet (all disciplines).
  • Distribution and number of National races designed to give members equal access.
  • Same total points, but fewer races overall and fewer Best-Of races needed to win a National Championship—less travel and more competition.
  • All National races offer the same National Championship series points. Race where and when you want!
  • Vintage, Post Vintage, and Next Gen Motocross included in the National Series.

2020 Championship Points Qualifying Requirements:

  • All District Championships: Four (4) to qualify, best five (5) COUNT, except for NG three (3) to qualify, best four (4) COUNT.
  • National Championship: Best five (5) from ANY District
  • Note: The National Championship Final is DOUBLE POINTS toward NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP points ONLY.
