McFadden will join 2018 championship runner-up Hayden Gillim and Junior Cup racer Gauge Rees in the Colorado-based team. RICKdiculous Racing had previously come to an agreement to run 2018 series champion JD Beach to partner Gillim, however with Beach’s promotion to the Superbike ranks at Attack Performance in place of Josh Herrin, one of the prime spots on the grid became available for McFadden.
“I was sitting at [a restaurant] last Sunday [November 25] and the Team Manager from RiCKdiculous Racing [Kelly Rees] gave me a call after they got word that they were going to let JD [Beach] go get the Superbike ride,” McFadden told Roadracingworld.com. “They asked me if I was interested in riding their bike, and I said, ‘Yeah, for sure.’ Throughout the week we put stuff together, and they presented me an offer that I couldn’t turn down.”
