2019 Husqvarna Svartpilen 701 First Look—Husqvarna created quite a stir when they released the concept drawing of the Svartpilen 701 back in 1923. Just kidding, but it really did seem like decades ago we first laid eyes on the sexy little single that borrows rather heavily from the KTM 690 Duke to create a rolling neo-classic fashion piece.

Now, thanks to the wonder that is the EICMA Show in Milan, we finally have the production-ready version of the scrambler/flat tracker, whatever you want to call it (for us, it’s kind of in between).
The power comes from the latest generation KTM 690 Duke motor, as does the tubular steel chassis. It’s not so much a technical exercise as it is an aesthetic one, the Svartpilen wrapped in minimalist bodywork with the same tank as the 401 Vitpilen but with a funky stepped seat unit and rear number plate housing.
Braking is taken care of by Brembo with a Bosch switchable ABS system, you’ll get an up and down quickshifter, slipper clutch, and a massive line of accessories. No price or U.S. availability was available at the time of publication.
