Revolution Performance Milwaukee 8 Big Bore Kits
Press Release | September 1, 2018
Revolution Performance says its Milwaukee 8 Big Bore Kits can produce up to 28.4-percent gain in power.
Revolution Performance now has all-aluminum, NSC-plated (nickel-silicon-carbide), bolt-on 124-in. (2032cc) Big Bore Kits for 2017-18 Milwaukee 8-powered Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
They use an all-aluminum cylinder design that utilizes a proprietary NSC-plating process. The plating forms an extremely hard barrier on the cylinder bore. Compared to the stock, this plating provides improved wear resistance, oil retention, and a low coefficient of friction. The Revolution Performance cylinder and piston are made of the same material, so they expand at the same rate when exposed to heat. This means tighter, more precise tolerances can be used, and Revolution Performance says it means the cylinder will run up to 40 degrees cooler. The cylinders are also lighter, more durable, and make more power than a stock cast iron cylinder.

Each 124-in. kit comes with these all-aluminum NSC-plated cylinders, and Revolution Performance says they can produce up to 28.4-percent gain in power and 17.8-percent gain in torque. Modifications to the engine are not necessary for installation, and the kits are available from your local Drag Specialties Dealer.
