Throwback Thursday: Massive Crowd at Jerez in 1993
Larry Lawrence | April 12, 2018
In this week’s Throwback we dialed it back 25 years to the early 1990s, specifically the ’93 Spanish Motorcycle Grand Prix at Jerez. This photo shows the 250cc Grand Prix race with Tetsuya Harada leading Loris Capirossi, Max Biaggi and others with a hillside crowded with rabid GP fans serving as a spectacular backdrop. Over the years the Grand Prix at Jerez has traditionally drawn massive crowds with well over 100,000 on race day not uncommon.
