(June 5, 2026) — During FIM Sustainability Week, WorldSBK continues to spotlight practical initiatives and operational developments introduced across the paddock by teams, partners and stakeholders.

Among them, the GYTR GRT Yamaha WorldSBK Team has become the first team in WorldSBK to complete a structured ESG assessment process and obtain an independently verified sustainability rating.

The project was carried out in partnership with weprosperitY (www.weprosperity.it), an ESG advisory organization supporting companies and sports organizations in measuring, improving and reporting sustainability practices through structured assessment frameworks.

The assessment process followed a six-step methodology, including materiality analysis, ESG measurement, independent verification of the rating, improvement planning and long-term reporting objectives. The rating was independently verified by Ecomate, an accredited third-party body, while weprosperitY supported the assessment and improvement process.

Rather than focusing solely on declarations or offsetting initiatives, the approach taken by GYTR GRT Yamaha centered on establishing measurable operational benchmarks across environmental, social and governance areas relevant to the realities of an international racing team.

The assessment evaluated the organization across 11 categories, ranging from waste management and mobility to governance and staff well-being. The process established a measurable baseline from which future progress can be monitored and developed over time.

The team’s strongest results came in areas already deeply integrated into its day-to-day operations, particularly waste and circular economy practices, health and safety procedures, and innovation. Waste and circular economy scored 81/100, while health and safety achieved 79/100.

At the same time, the assessment process also identified areas where further progress can be made, particularly regarding logistics, mobility and energy usage—key challenges for a team operating internationally throughout a WorldSBK season.

The team is now working on a 2026-2027 improvement roadmap aimed at further strengthening its sustainability performance over time.

For GYTR GRT Yamaha, the process was designed not to change the identity of the team but to better structure, measure and improve practices already embedded within its daily activities. As outlined in the report accompanying the rating process, “The team did not change the way it races—it chose to measure it, improve it, and account for it.”
