Jericho Hare & Hound National Results 2018 – Taylor Robert returned to his winning ways in the 2018 Kenda/SRT AMA Hare & Hound Championship, presented by FMF. Back from injury, Robert (FMF/KTM) spent much of the race dicing back and forth for the lead with points leader Kendal Norman (Honda). The two riders took turns out in front before Robert took control and took the win, his second of the series.

Robert had one other race under his belt since his injury (which he won) and had confidence coming in to this one, which was held at the Little Sahara Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Area in Jericho, Utah.

“I knew my intensity was there—it’s just holding it for three hours,” Robert said. “I knew I could come back and hopefully win; I was pretty sure I could do it today, but it wasn’t easy!”

Norman said, “I wasn’t at my full potential [today]. “All in all, I’m stoked. It was pretty wild out there.”

Dalton Shirey (Husqvarna) was in the hunt for a while as well and was heading for a certain podium finish until Nick Burson (Yamaha) snuck up at the end and passed him for third place.

Ryan Smith (Husqvarna) ended up rounding out the top five overall.

Beta’s Chance Fullerton who won the FMF Pro 250 class for the third straight round in sixth overall.

Amsoil Suzuki-mounted Taran Taylor, Chidester Transport Racing Yamaha’s Daemon Woolslayer (the FMF Pro 250 runner-up), ADS Motorsports KTM’s Josh Knight (third FMF Pro 250) and SRT Husqvarna’s Clayton Gerstner rounded out the top 10.

Brandy Richards won Women A for the second consecutive round aboard her Bell Helmets KTM 350 SX-F and finished 26th overall after starting last. Utah native Rachel Stout and points leader Britney Gallegos rounded out their podium.

Afterward, Robert admitted, “I was feeling it. I was pretty worked and my wrists were really sore. As soon as I got back to the truck, I put ice on them—they were already swollen up.” But he has two more weeks before round five, which will also be at Jericho, though hosted by the Sugarloafers Motorcycle Club.
