Looks like another heavy hitter in the MX Nationals will be missing a few rounds due to injury. Honda HRC’s Cole Seely said via Instagram that he suffered a broken finger while practicing and underwent surgery today.

“I had surgery today that required a plate and four screws,” he said. He also said, “I’m bummed I’ll be out for a bit…I was practicing at Pala yesterday and drug my bar in a turn, I must of punched a rock, and it broke my finger.”
Seely was a solid third in the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship and had just finished fourth overall at Muddy Creek last weekend.
He did not say when he might return.
