Ricky Brabec Tops Winter Class National Hare & Hound

Johnny Campbell Racing Honda’s Ricky Brabec returned from the Dakar Rally just in time to make the opening round of the Kenda/SRT AMA Hare & Hound National Championship Series in Lucerne Valley, California, and all of the effort paid off, as he stormed to victory at the 49th Annual Desert Motorcycle Club’s Winter Classic H&H on his Pro Circuit/Lucas Oil/Fly Racing CRF450X.
Once he got around early front-runners Ivan Ramirez and Jacob Argubright, Brabec got down to business in the Johnson Valley OHV Area and went on to take the win.
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing Off-road Team’s Jacob Argubright and Purvines Racing Beta’s Nick Burson rounded out the podium.
Dalton Shirey (Husqvarna) and Ryan Smith (Yamaha) rounded out the top five overall.
Defending champ Ramirez had a tough day finding his rhythm and was never really a factor in this one. The FMF KTM rider settled for an eventual seventh.
