Corona, CA (December 15, 2015) – STI Tire & Wheel continues its expansion of the Tech 2 MXC tire line, announcing two new sizes of the extremely versatile intermediate-terrain off-road tire – the 90/100-21 and 120/90-19 sizes.
These new tire sizes are ready to provide excellent performance on nearly any terrain, and they excel in rough and loose desert environments. The 120/90-19 rear tire offers increased traction for 450 four-stroke off-road bikes, and the larger profile 90/100-21 front tire greatly improves a bike’s off-road handling.
Following extensive testing on track, these Tech 2 tires have proven themselves with race-winning results. Joey Black used these tires to earn the Open A Championship in the National Hare & Hound series. Nick Stover, competing in the AMA Big 6 GP series, finished atop the LWT 1 class and second in the Pro 250 class running Tech 2 tires.
Both new Tech 2 sizes are built with a 4-ply carcass that gives an ideal balance of durability and top-notch handling. The semi-wide tread pattern produces outstanding loose-terrain traction while staying controlled on the hard pack. Using an advanced dual compound and stiff lower sidewalls, these Tech 2 tires boast an exceptionally low wear rate.
