Everybody in the World Superbike paddock knew Jonathan Rea was destined to win a world title if he got the right equipment. And this year it happened. The Irishman, always the perennial underdog on the aging Ten Kate Honda, switched to the Kawasaki Racing Team and immediately started winning and took the world championship victory comfortably in Jerez in Spain with two rounds still to go in championship.
