Eli Tomac has had a stellar season and will be looking to add to his two wins already in 2015 at Houston this weekend.

Geico Honda rider Eli Tomac will be looking to continue his stellar form leading into this weekend’s 14th round of the FIM Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship, held at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.

After a week off to recharge, Tomac’s recent run of form that has seen him net a win and second place in his previous two races puts him in a good position in Houston to cement his second place in the title chase behind champion-elect, Ryan Dungey.

“It was nice to have a weekend off,” Tomac said. “I did a little bit of a recharge. We were going for 13 weeks in a row, and that’s a long time. It was good time off.”

Season 2015 has been a watershed year for Tomac. After an injury hit 2014, Tomac is still to complete a full season of 450cc racing however his two wins and seven podium finishes so far this year show he’s got what it takes to mix it with the fastest Supercross riders on the planet.

“I’m having a lot of fun racing,” said Tomac. “I’m ready to get back at it.”

Live coverage of round 14 of the 2015 FIM Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship from Houston starts at April 11, 8:00pm ET on FOX Sports 2.
