Jason Anderson was impressive in his first race aboard Husqvarna, topping this weekend’s 24MX Supercross in Stockholm, Sweden.

The Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing-backed Anderson overcame a crash in crash in his heat race, working his way back up to second after hitting the dirt on lap 4.

In his semi, Anderson took the lead from JGRMX Yamaha’s Phil Nicoletti on lap four, before pulling away to take the win and transfer into the main event.

Meanwhile, in the main, the reigning AMA 250 Supercross West champion put his FC 450 into the lead after grabbing the holeshot. From there, the former mini-cycle great build an impressive lead before taking the checkered flag for the victory.

The win was an important occasion for Husqvarna as well as the ideal debut race for Anderson, who also took time to meet company officials in Sweden and visit the Husqvarna museum.

“Visiting the museum was pretty cool,” Anderson said. “Then we cruised down here for a good night of racing. I managed to get the holeshot in the main and then I just tried to ride a mistake-free race. I was excited to be able to race the Husky here in Sweden and to get it done. I think we’re in a pretty good spot and I felt good all day.”
