Aaron Sweeps National Trials Opener

Geoff Aaron won the opening two rounds of the AMA Sports/NATC Ryan Young Products Observed Trials Series in Aguanga, California. The Gas Gas rider topped both Friday and Saturday events.

On Friday, Aaron finished ahead of fellow Gas Gas rider Ryon Bell, who was followed by Sherco’s David Chaves, Montesa’s Chris Florin and Scorpa’s Ray Peters. On Saturday, Aaron took the win again, but this time Gas Gas rider Wilson Craig, who finished sixth on Friday, improved to second on Saturday. Bell slipped down a spot to third, while Chaves and Florin rounded out the top five. Peters finshed sixth.

Aaron opens the 13-round series with a 14-point lead over Bell, 60-46. Craig is third with 40 points.
