Ryan Dungey cleared the first hurdle in his quest to retain his AMA 450 National Motocross Championship title after taking his first overall win of 2011 at Thunder Valley Raceway in Lakewood, Colorado.
The Rockstar/Makita Suzuki team rider traded moto wins with the man who earlier this year laid claim to his Supercross crown, Ryan Villopoto, and the two each gained seven points on the series point leader, Chad Reed, who went 3-3 and got on the final step on the podium…
