Cody Webb took an impressive win at the 41st running of El Trial de Espana in Cahulila Creek, California, the factory Beta rider beating last year’s winner Keith Wineland by a total of five points.

Webb, the current US National Champion, made short work of Saturday’s prologue, dropping just a single point all day. During Sunday’s exhibition, Webb looked impressive on the massive granite outcroppings, dropping points in just two sections (a three and a one) for a final score of five points to take the overall win and the coveted ETdE traveling trophy, his fourth time to do so.

Wineland ended the two-day event in second on his Gas Gas USA-backed TXT Pro with a total of 10 points, while Eric Storz, son of famed tuner Steve Storz came home in third with 31.

Up-and-comer Bryan Roper was fourth with 34 points on his Sherco, while Andrew Oldar rounded out the top five on a Sherco with 41 points.
