Parker Wins Big

Yamaha-mounted Ricky Parker totally dominated today’s AMA Pro Supersport race at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, the Louisianan pulling away to an easy 12.7-second win over Suzuki-mounted Russ Wikle in the 18-lap race. Parker is the son of former 125cc World Motocross Champion Trampas Parker.Third place went to Bryce Prince, the Californian well clear of a scrap between James Rispoli and Garrett Willis that went the distance with Rispoli getting the nod at the finish. Then came Robert Tinagero, the Kawasaki-mounted Californian coming out best in a battle with Texan Clint Shobert and Las Vegas’ Christopher Clark.Brian Pinkstaff and Matthew Presting rounded out the top 10 finishers.There was some carnage in the early laps with Ezequil Iturrioz, Huntley Nash, Joey Pascarella and Tyler Odom all crashing on the opening lap.
