Yamaha of Troy’s Mike Brown and Team Suzuki’s Sean Hamblin were the big winners at the Primm MX Collection Prequel MX at Glen Helen Raceway on Saturday.

The race was a warm-up for next weekend’s opening round of the AMA Chevrolet Motocross Championship Series at Hangtown in Sacramento, California. Brown topped the 125cc class after winning the first moto and finishing third in the second, where he crashed in the first turn. But his 1-3 performance was good enough to take the overall win for the day. Second and third overall went to Brown’s YoT teammates Brock Sellards and Kelly Smith. Sellards posted 4-2 moto finishes, while Smith went 3-4. Honda riders Josh Grant and Sean Collier rounded out the top five overall.

Team Suzuki’s Davi Millsaps won the second moto.

In the 250cc class, the top three positions was set in stone with Team Suzuki’s Sean Hamblin, Motosport Outlet Honda’s Craig Anderson and Suzuki rider Craig Decker finishing 1-2-3 in both motos. Hamblin’s teammate Nick Wey finished fourth overall, and Honda rider Clark Stiles took fifth overall.

Red Bull KTM’s Grant Langston returned to action and finished fourth in the first 250cc moto. He did not suit up for the second moto.
